Lirld - Rise of
Back in 2016, I embarked on my very first project in web technologies, which I named Lirld. The name "Lirld" was simply a nickname I had for my laptop; it didn’t carry any special significance. My dad supported this venture by purchasing the domain Lirld.com for me to use, which gave me a great start.
As someone who is quite introverted, I have always found it challenging to make friends and connect with people in traditional social settings. This difficulty inspired me to create a social platform where people could chat online, making it easier for me to connect with others who might have similar experiences. I picked up some free PHP software designed for creating social networks and set it up on a small server. The support from my dad throughout this process was invaluable and meant a lot to me, providing both technical and emotional backing.
A few of my friends joined the website, and we started chatting there. It was great to have our little space to talk, even though it was just us initially. This experience was quite fulfilling and provided a safe environment for me to engage with others. Over time, the project taught me a lot about the basics of web development, server management, and user interaction.
Looking back, I see how much that first project taught me and how it has helped me learn and grow. Despite its simplicity, Lirld was a significant stepping stone in my journey. It was my introduction to the world of web development, and it laid the foundation for many future projects. The experience helped me understand the importance of user-friendly design, community building, and the technical aspects of running a website. It also highlighted the value of perseverance and learning from each project, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant it might be.
